LUCA - Female, Basset Hound

Luca is a nine year old, fifty pound sweet Basset Hound. This senior citizen was found by a previous adopter of GHS and kept at their home for a month while they tried to find her owner. She is house trained and well mannered. She is good with well behaved children. Luca walks nicely on a leash and knows down and roll over. While at GHS Luca has trained the staff and volunteers to rub her tummy when she rolls over. Luca would love to go home with someone who is home to give her attention and love. Her adopter must be able to pick up the art of tummy rubbing quickly. She makes us smile!

JACKSON - Male, Terrier Mix

Jackson is a Disney dog - made for movies. He is nine months old and twenty-two pounds. When we picked him up from the Hesperia Shelter he was just coming out of anesthesia from being neutered. Because we had filled all of our cages we opted to take him home on a lap. Jackson was so good for the two hour drive - awake and engaging and well behaved. AFTER the anesthesia cleared his body the real Jackson emerged. He has more energy than a room full of monkeys. We love him to pieces but he is not for the faint of heart. He is smart, funny, adorable and twenty-two pounds of energy.

LUTHER - Male, Terrier Mix

Luther is a five month old terrier mix from the Hesperia Shelter. Is he cute or what??? He is eleven pounds but will continue to grow for a while yet. We are estimating about fifteen pounds full grown. He is great on a leash and is currently learning other basic manners while at GHS. He would do best in a home with older children or adults only. Our trainer, Sara, noted that he loves laps.
FRITZ - Male, Pomeranian/Terrier Mix

Fritz is a Pomeranian/Terrier mix - does that make him a Pomerrier? We do know for certain he is loving, happy and a great playmate for other dogs. Fritz would love a canine companion or brothers and sisters of the two-legged kind over ten years of age. He walks beautifully on a leash and knows sit. Fritz is a favorite of staff and volunteers and will make someone a loving and loyal friend. BTW he gives good kisses.

JENNY - Female, Terrier Mix

Jenny is a nice combination of playful yet sweet terrier mix. She has the perfect coat - never needing a haircut and yet always looking well groomed. She is thirty-five pounds and about two years old. Jenny likes adults and children as well. She walks nicely on a leash and is learning her basic manners while at GHS. Jenny is from the Hesperia Shelter.
